Alongside its use as tourism hub as well, the Hall of Fame Resort and Entertainment complex will form essential to developing the Hall of Legends Village, which will wrap around the Pro Football Museum. It will also include the retail area for residents as well as supporters, such as Don Shula’s Restaurant. Additionally, the resort is expected to feature an esports facility, which will be run through Esports Entertainment Group. In addition, the resort will also have an Topgolf Swing Suite and a craft beer called The Brettle.
Johnson Controls has the name Hall of Fame Village, However, there are differences among the two. Johnson Controls is seeking to get rid of its multi-million dollar name rights arrangement in conjunction with Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Co. that is building the resort. As per an SEC document, the two parties were in breach of their contract. Johnson Controls wants $4.75 million as settlement. HOF Resort plans to defend the allegations.

This differs from that of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The conflict between Johnson Controls and Hall of Fame Village has been ongoing from November 2016.
